A study by the Institute for Medical Microbiology at the Eppendorf University Hospital* in Hamburg has tested various dispenser models, and the result is clear: Metal levers are much more hygienic. Germ transmission on plastic was up to 16 times higher than on metal. Particularly noteworthy: Even when operated by hand instead of elbow, the metal levers performed better – probably due to their smaller surface area.
The manual Clean&Care soap dispensers from Satino by WEPA have always been equipped with particularly hygienic stainless steel contact surfaces; this makes them not only outstandingly hygienic and easy to clean, but also economical and easy to maintain, thanks to a filling capacity of up to 1,000 ml.
